no just kidding. We've been working on our material real hard over the last couple weeks, perfecting the older songs, and learning the new ones. Some of the new songs are real bad ass and we can't until we can finally perform them for yinz ppl. Some of the older songs are really starting to get old, all the more reason we will be writing even more cool songs. But that's where we are right now. We haven't disappeared, we're working on some new stuff. So we'll let you know next time something worthwhile happens.

hahaaaaaaa...We jumped the gun a little bit last month saying that jake quit, he didn't quit and he's back. And Bacchus is back where we were about a month ago except we cancelled all those shows that were coming up so we need shows again. Anyone that wants us to play, hit us up, we are available now. But you'll eventually see us booking some of our own soon so... Things are going good again, So expect more good things to come.

Hello Bacchus website visitors, here's a bit of a progress report of what we've been up to so far. We've been getting stuff done over the last couple weeks. We're taking care of business 'round here. We got a show scheduled if you didn't notice. Nov. 15th at Excuses on the south side with... duh duh duhhhhh The Fuzz. We're working on getting other shows soon probably booked around the last week of Oct. or first week of Nov., so expect to be able to come see us live soon. We're also probably gonna try to record a demo asap, not quite sure on any info we could give you about that yet, but we'll probably have new music up for all you people to listen to as soon as that's done. Also a new website design is in the works to be released this fall sometime. New songs are comin'. Keep checkin' back.

New BACCHUS Show & Happenings
Hey everyone. Hope all is awesome in your world right now. But if that isn't the case I have a special way to make you happy again. Officially posting the new BACCHUS show! This new show will show everyone the bad ass stylings of new drummer Jake. And since I will finally be of age (21) and able to attend this show look for some fucking awesome video footage.

The Time has come...almost
We've been hard at work over the last couple weeks getting songs down, Jake is picking up on the songs very nicely. SO, it's time for us to start gigging again, real soon. We'll be setting up our own show or two asap, but in the mean time, if there's anyone that has a show in mid to late september with an open spot on it, we'll play with you. And if there's anyone interested in playing with us for one of our first shows back, let us know and we'll try to set up a date somewhere soon.
But, progress is being made, ground is being broken, the songs are more intense than ever and we can't wait to perform our re-vamped tunes for everyone. We'll probably be updating this weekend or next week with a new video of us jamming on a song or two. So you ppl can get a taste of how good everything sounds. Until then,

It's About Time...
damn it's been a while since anything was written here. BUT good news, Bacchus is a three piece again, finally. Our new percussionist, Jake. He's the newest addition to Bacchus, and he's great at what he does. Jake was just the kind of drummer Bacchus needed. We've jammed with him a few times at this point, and things are going well so far. Over the next couple weeks, expect a lot more updates on our progress, and possibly more live gigs asap. We'll have more news for you, probably by this weekend. Listen to the songs on here as they are, and then be prepared, in the future, to hear something even better.

*Tired of Waiting for You-u-u*
Alright, like we were about a month ago, we're still looking for a new drummer. All the same qualifications still apply, someone please get in contact with us, we're dieing to play some music.
Even though we're incomplete at the moment, me and mike are still working on new stuff. The song that we called the New song for a while is now called Subtle Refrain, and there is a new "new song" which we finally finished up last nite in our weekly jam. So whenever we find ourselves a new drummer there will be two new songs that we hopefully will be able to play for you. "Two songs?", you must be wondering by now. Yes Human Nature Industry is also well in the works, and should be finished in the near future. HNI is an old song that we never played for anyone, so yeah its still new.
Drop us a line if there's any information we could use about a new drummer.

We need someone talented, punk - metal influenced style of playing, able to play fast, and handle things like time signature changes and rhythm changes and all that. We need someone willing to learn like 10 songs right away, so we can start gigging again. All original material, but we are open minded to play a cover or two, after you learn enough of our songs. Anyone interested, drop us a line.

Good evening, had a show a last nite @ Quagmire's, and damn was it a fun time. Thanks a lot of to Mike from Quagmire's, The Fuzz, and everyone that came down to see us.
The Fuzz wasn't in their complete form, they had a fill in for bassist Nate, he broke his wrist, Noah (Bubba) played bass most of the night for them. And James played the lead guitar most of the time (he's usually the drummer), and Phil played drums for them. Considering their situation, with the mixed up line up and fill in musicians, I'd say they did FANTASTIC. They sounded great.
Don't forget to come check us out on Thursday Night with SKREWLOOSE, at Casey's on the South Side. We're really pumped about this show, so it would mean a lot for EVERYONE to show up at this one. It's cheap, only a $2 cover, and we promise you'll get your $2 worth.
